The Boston Amateur Golf Society, which was established in the spring of 1989, is the largest tournament golf club in New England. The Rhode Island Division began in 1992 and has grown to as many as 300 members who are provided the opportunity to compete in about 60 events each year. 2013 is our 22nd season serving Rhode Island area golfers. B.A.G.S. is open to golfers of all abilities and is dedicated to providing a tournament setting for individuals who wish to compete in organized events. B.A.G.S. offers low gross and competition played off handicap - no handicap card is required to join. B.A.G.S. Members have reserved weekend and weekday tee times at most of the area's finest public and semi-private courses, plus many select private clubs. If you like competing, or just want to meet and play with golfers of similar ability who thoroughly love the game, then B.A.G.S. is for you.

Former B.A.G.S. member, Ken Medeiros, will be providing golf swing evaluations to select tournament winners and discounted lesson packages to all B.A.G.S. members. Ken gained tournament experience with B.A.G.S. - RI, and has since become a teaching professional. Ken has played on various mini-tours, and won the 2010 U.S. Professional Golf Teachers Association National Championship.
