BOSTON AMATEUR GOLF SOCIETY - RHODE ISLAND DIVISION
2009 BAGS Florida 72 Hole Championship
December 2 - December 7, 2009
O
Our Florida event is a terrific getaway just before winter sets in. Contested on four, superb championship courses. Condo's or the hotel is conveniently located close to all the tournament sites, Disney World and other area attractions. 8:00 AM shotgun starts each morning will allow sufficient time for afternoon replays at reduced rates. Last year about 50 golfers enjoyed great weather (daily highs well into the 70’s). Last year most of the Rhode Island contingent arrived in Orlando on Wednesday morning.
Wednesday, Dec. 2 - For those who arrive in Orlando by late morning (see flight information below), we will organize rental cars and head out for an afternoon practice round, and then to the Condo/ hotel for check-in.
Thursday, Dec. 3 - A practice round will be organized at one of the tournament courses.

Legends G & CC (www.legendsgolfcc.com)The Legends golf course is one of the finest accomplishments of famous course designer Lloyd Clifton. This beautifully manicured Clifton-Ezell-Clifton course is a very fair test of golf. It has notable features including vertiginous elevations, cinemascopic horizons and breathtaking views. Selected in the January issue of a leading golf magazine as one of the Top Ten Golf Courses in Central Florida for 2002, this course is destined to continue to be recognized as one of Florida's finest courses. |

Each combination provides a distinctive playing experience, which will challenge even the best of golfers, as well as superb course conditions.

Championsgate International (www.championsgategolf.com) – This Greg Norman designed course offers a golf experience unlike any other in the Orlando area, but one that will be familiar to those who have played the links courses of Scotland and Ireland. The International Course offers hard, fast fairways and bunkers that could have been shaped by the winds off the North Sea. Truly one of America's most distinctive golf challenges. We will be playing here in tournament playing conditions the day after the Del Webb Father/Son Challenge concludes. Expect the greens to be very fast on this final championship round.
